J.C.

Raised primarily in Southern California, J.C. Tregarthen has had professional media/entertainment-oriented experience that dates back to 1989 – initially beginning while proudly serving overseas in the U.S. Air Force on active duty, he was hand-picked by his peers for a long-term temporary duty (TDY) as a Broadcast Journalist that gave him the unique opportunity to study and excel in radio broadcasting and program production for the Armed Forces Radio Network (AFN).

Once returning to the states and upon his Honorable Discharge from duty in 1991, this experience implanted the positive desire to further explore the radio broadcasting fields, and he then took on several internships to include KRML FM (Carmel, CA), KEZY FM and KLOS FM (Southern CA) as an intern for the "Mark and Brian Radio Program" ~ which ultimately led to producing and broadcasting his own weekend talk-radio, interview and music formatted program on KCLA FM representing the American Radio Network/Kaleidoscope Radio Magazine, in Los Angeles for over two years.

From this stage, J.C. found via networking and personal interests fueled by discussions with his peers that branching into T.V. & film prospects would be a natural choice and preferred direction, career-wise.  An avid creative writer, film and music enthusiast, he chose to diligently follow his personal career and hobby interests and began working at CBS Television Studios in Los Angeles as a production assistant on various media projects, while gathering work experiences and professional connections in other fields of entertainment arenas... to then begin work for both Warner Brothers and Walt Disney Studios/WD Feature Animation in various Personal/Production Assistant positions, and Hollywood Records as a soundtrack Editor's Assistant ~ all located in Burbank, California until mid-2005.

J.C. is very proud and excited to be a part of the "Down The Road" crew as Co-Host / creator and Executive Producer... and hopes to bring his public relations, unique creative writing and journalistic background, professional media experiences and voice-over talents into positive light with partner and Co-Host K.C. Murdock, along with much valued "DTR" staff members Victor Arzola, Mario Toscano and Kyle Burlington.
